How to Choose the Class

  • Start from what you sell under the mark, not from your industry: a clothing brand sells goods (Class 25); a shop selling other brands provides a retail service (Class 35).
  • Read the explanatory note of the class: its “does not include” list names the class where look-alike items belong.
  • File in each class you trade in. The fee is charged for each class, and protection is limited to the classes in the registration.
