Most compliance failures are scheduling failures. The rules are known, the dates are fixed, and the deadline still passes because no one person was watching all four regulators at once. This calendar puts every recurring date for FY 2026–27 in one place.

January 2027Third quarter TDS statement, 31 January.
March 2027Fourth advance tax instalment, 15 March. Year-end close, stock count, and any deduction-linked payment you intend to claim.

Two dates in this table move with your AGM, not with the calendar. AOC-4 is due within 30 days of the annual general meeting and MGT-7 within 60 days. The October and November entries above assume an AGM held on the last permissible day. Hold it earlier and both filings fall due earlier.

Labour and Employment Through the Year

  • Provident fund and state insurance contributions by the 15th of each month.
  • Professional tax as notified by the State, where applicable.
  • Annual returns under each labour statute that applies to the establishment.
  • The annual report of the internal complaints committee to the District Officer, for workplaces with ten or more employees.
  • Statutory bonus paid within eight months of the close of the accounting year.
  • Minimum wage notifications reviewed when revised by the State.

Build the calendar in the first week of April. Every date above except the two AGM-linked ones is fixed and knowable on day one of the year. Put them in a shared calendar with a reminder five days ahead, assign each to a named person, and the year becomes a schedule instead of a sequence of near-misses.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the monthly compliance dates for a business in India?
The 7th for depositing tax deducted at source, the 11th for the GST outward supply return, the 15th for provident fund and state insurance contributions, and the 20th for the GST summary return and payment. Quarterly filers follow the 13th and the 22nd or 24th instead.
When is the annual general meeting due?
Within six months of the end of the financial year — 30 September 2026 for a 31 March 2026 year end — and no more than fifteen months after the previous AGM.
Why are AOC-4 and MGT-7 not on fixed dates?
Because they run from the AGM, not the year end. AOC-4 is due within 30 days of the AGM and MGT-7 within 60 days. A company that holds its AGM in August has earlier filing deadlines than one that waits until 30 September.
When are the advance tax instalments due?
15 June, 15 September, 15 December and 15 March, at 15%, 45%, 75% and 100% cumulatively, under sections 407 and 408 of the Income-tax Act, 2025. Taxpayers on the presumptive scheme pay the whole amount by 15 March.
What is the deadline for the GST annual return?
31 December following the end of the financial year, where turnover requires it.
