What Trademark Class 25 Covers

Class 25 includes mainly clothing, footwear and headwear for human beings.

This class includes, in particular

  • parts of clothing, footwear and headwear, for example, cuffs, pockets, ready-made linings, heels and heelpieces, cap peaks, hat frames (skeletons)
  • clothing and footwear for sports, for example, ski gloves, sports singlets, cyclists' clothing, martial arts uniforms, football shoes, gymnastic shoes, ski boots
  • masquerade costumes
  • paper clothing, paper hats for use as clothing
  • bibs, not of paper
  • pocket squares

Filing a Trademark in Class 25

The Trade Marks Registry classifies goods and services by the current edition of the Nice Classification (rule 20, Trade Marks Rules, 2017). One application in Form TM-A can cover Class 25 alone or several classes together; the fee is charged for each class.
