Assemble every document a bank or NBFC needs so your business loan file is complete and moves quickly to sanction.

BUSINESS LOAN DOCUMENTATION CHECKLIST

Use this list to compile a bank-ready loan file for a term loan, working-capital or MSME loan.

KYC & Identity

  • ☐ PAN card of business entity
  • ☐ PAN and Aadhaar of proprietor / partners / directors
  • ☐ Passport-size photographs of applicants and guarantors
  • ☐ Address proof (electricity bill / rent agreement / registry)

Business Existence & Registration

  • ☐ Certificate of Incorporation / Partnership Deed / GST-linked proof
  • ☐ Udyam (MSME) registration certificate
  • ☐ GST registration certificate and last 12 months returns
  • ☐ Shop & Establishment / trade licence, if applicable
  • ☐ MoA & AoA / LLP agreement (companies / LLPs)

Financial Documents

  • ☐ Audited financial statements for last 3 years
  • ☐ Income Tax Returns with computation for last 3 years
  • ☐ Provisional / projected financials for the loan tenure
  • ☐ Last 12 months bank statements of all accounts
  • ☐ Existing loan sanction letters and repayment track record
  • ☐ Debtors and creditors ageing statement

Collateral / Security

  • ☐ Property title deeds and chain of ownership documents
  • ☐ Latest property tax receipts and encumbrance certificate
  • ☐ Approved building plan / valuation report
  • ☐ List of assets offered as security with values

Bank Application & Declarations

  • ☐ Duly filled and signed loan application form
  • ☐ Board resolution / authorisation to borrow
  • ☐ Personal guarantee and net-worth statement of guarantors
  • ☐ CIBIL / credit report consent signed
  • ☐ Processing fee cheque or payment proof

Note: Keep self-attested photocopies plus originals for verification; a complete file at first submission typically cuts sanction time significantly.
