Ref: Intimation No. [DIN / Reference Number] dated [Date]

Subject: Response to intimation under Section 143(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for A.Y. [Assessment Year]

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, [Name of Assessee], PAN [PAN], am in receipt of the intimation under Section 143(1) for A.Y. [Assessment Year] proposing an adjustment / demand of Rs. [Amount] on account of [reason, e.g., TDS mismatch / disallowance u/s 143(1)(a)].

On verification, I respectfully submit that the adjustment is not correct, as the income and TDS claimed in my return match Form 26AS and the AIS. The relevant Form 16/16A, Form 26AS extract and computation of income are enclosed to substantiate the return as filed.

I therefore request that the demand be rectified/withdrawn accordingly. In case any part of the demand is sustained, I undertake to comply after due verification.

Yours faithfully,
