An agreement permitting an employee to work remotely, setting out obligations on availability, data security and equipment.

WORK-FROM-HOME AGREEMENT

This Agreement is made on [Date] between [Employer Name], having its office at [Address] ("Employer"), and [Employee Name], residing at [Address] ("Employee").

  1. Arrangement. The Employer permits the Employee to work from home for the role of [Designation] with effect from [Effective Date], on the terms below.
  2. Work Location. The Employee shall work from [Remote Location] and shall not change it without prior written approval.
  3. Working Hours. The Employee shall be available during core hours of [Timing] and remain reachable via approved communication channels.
  4. Equipment. The Employer shall provide [Equipment/Laptop] which shall remain Company property and be returned on termination.
  5. Data Security. The Employee shall maintain a secure work environment, use VPN and approved tools, and protect Company data at all times.
  6. Confidentiality. All existing confidentiality obligations continue to apply while working remotely.
  7. Reimbursement. The Employer shall reimburse eligible expenses such as internet up to Rs. [Amount] per month as per policy.
  8. Performance. The Employee shall meet the same performance standards as office-based work and report progress as required.
  9. Revocation. The Employer may revoke this arrangement with [Number] days' notice and require the Employee to return to office.
  10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction. This Agreement is governed by Indian law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at [City].
  11. Dispute Resolution. Disputes shall be resolved amicably, failing which by arbitration seated at [City].
