How to deduct TDS under Section 192
- Check whether the payment crosses the threshold (When taxable salary exceeds the basic exemption limit)
- Deduct TDS at Slab rates (as per the employee's applicable regime) at the time of credit or payment, whichever is earlier
- Deposit the TDS to the government using a challan (with your TAN)
- File the quarterly TDS return and issue the TDS certificate to the payee

- Deposit TDS by the 7th of the following month (April–February); by 30 April for March
