Get DSC + DIN + company registration done
We arrange Class-3 DSCs, file for DIN and incorporate your company — start to finish.
Disclaimer: Indicative estimate. DSC prices vary by certifying authority and token; DIN government fees are per the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules. Government and statutory costs only — professional fees are not included. Confirm current rates before proceeding.
DSC & DIN — the two essentials before you incorporate
Every director who signs MCA e-forms needs a Class-3 Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), and every director needs a Director Identification Number (DIN). For a brand-new company both DINs are allotted free inside the SPICe+ incorporation form — so your only real cost is the DSCs plus filing. For an existing company, a fresh DIN is obtained separately through Form DIR-3.
Fee schedule — DSC & DIN
Below are the typical charges used by this calculator. DSC pricing is market-driven (certifying authorities such as eMudhra, Capricorn, Pantasign); DIN government fees are fixed by the MCA.
| 2-Year DSC (per director) | ₹1,500 |
| 3-Year DSC (per director) | ₹2,000 |
| Via SPICe+ (new company) | ₹0 |
| DIR-3 government fee (per DIN) | ₹500 |
Worked example — 2 directors
The DIN mode is the biggest lever. Here is the same setup — 2 directors, 2-year DSCs — costed both ways. Choosing SPICe+ for a new company makes the DINs free.
Key terms explained
Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
An encrypted electronic signature on a USB token used to sign MCA and income-tax e-forms. Directors need Class-3 DSCs, issued for 2 or 3 years by a licensed certifying authority. It is mandatory for e-filing.
Director Identification Number (DIN)
A unique 8-digit number allotted to every company director by the MCA. Once allotted it is valid for life and follows the person across companies — you never apply for it twice.
SPICe+ (INC-32)
The single integrated web form used to incorporate a company. It allots up to three DINs free of cost as part of registration, so new-company directors do not file a separate DIR-3.
Form DIR-3
The standalone application to obtain a DIN for someone becoming a director of an existing company. It carries a ₹500 government fee per DIN.
Questions people ask
Short answers on DIN & DSC Cost Calculator. Tap a question to open it.
01What is the difference between a DIN and a DSC?
A DSC is a digital signature certificate on a USB token, used to sign filings electronically. A DIN is the unique Director Identification Number allotted to an individual who is or intends to become a director. You need a DSC to obtain a DIN, but they are separate things.
02Is a DIN allotted free with incorporation?
Yes. Up to three DINs can be applied for within SPICe+ at the time of incorporating a company, with no separate DIN fee. A standalone DIN for an existing company is applied for in Form DIR-3 and carries its own MCA fee.
03What does a DSC cost?
A Class 3 individual signing certificate typically covers a two-year validity and includes the certifying authority's charge plus the USB crypto token, which is a one-time hardware cost. Video verification is now part of the issuance process.
04How long is a DSC valid and what happens when it expires?
Usually one to three years depending on what you buy. On expiry it must be renewed — an expired DSC cannot sign MCA, income-tax or GST filings, and the same token can normally be reused for the renewed certificate.
05Does every director need a separate DSC?
Yes. A digital signature is personal and cannot be shared. Every director who signs any e-form, and the professional certifying it, must each hold their own valid DSC.
