Fire NOC
A no-objection certificate from the state fire service confirming the building meets fire-safety norms. Whether you need one depends on the state's fire rules — usually on occupancy, seating capacity, floor area or building height.

Documents usually asked for
- Building plans showing exits, staircases and fire-fighting installations
- Proof of ownership or tenancy of the premises
- Details of fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers and alarms installed
- Structural stability or completion certificate where required
The process
- Install the fire-fighting equipment the occupancy class requires
- Apply online to the state fire department
- Site inspection by a fire officer
- NOC issued; renew within the validity your state allows
