UAN (Universal Account Number) is a 12-digit permanent number assigned to every EPF member by EPFO. Log in at unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in using your UAN + password. Services available: PF balance check, passbook download, e-KYC update, online PF withdrawal (Form 19 / 10C / 31), claim status tracking, and PF transfer across employers.

How to Login to EPFO UAN Member Portal

Go to EPFO Member PortalOpen your browser and visit unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in. This is the official EPFO member self-service portal. Bookmark it — avoid third-party sites that mimic this URL.

Enter UAN and PasswordType your 12-digit UAN in the first field and your password in the second. Complete the CAPTCHA. Click "Sign In". If you haven't activated your UAN yet, click "Activate UAN" instead (see activation section below).

Access Member ServicesAfter login, you land on the member dashboard. Navigate to: View → Passbook for balance; Online Services → Claim for withdrawal; Manage → KYC for Aadhaar/PAN linking; Online Services → Transfer Request to transfer PF from old employer.

How to Activate UAN (First-Time Users)
If you are logging in for the first time, you need to activate your UAN before you can use the portal. Your employer assigns the UAN when you join — it is printed on your salary slip or can be obtained from HR.

Get Your UAN from EmployerAsk your HR or payroll team for your UAN. It is also printed on your salary slip, monthly PF deduction slip, or annual PF statement. It is a 12-digit number starting with the digits 1 or 2.

Go to "Activate UAN" on the PortalVisit unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in and click "Activate UAN" (below the Sign In button). Enter your UAN, Aadhaar number (or PAN), date of birth, mobile number registered with EPFO, and your name as on Aadhaar.

Verify via OTP and Set PasswordClick "Get Authorization PIN" — an OTP is sent to your registered mobile. Enter the OTP, create a new password (min. 8 characters, with uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character), and complete activation. You can now log in with UAN + new password.

Can I withdraw PF online through the UAN portal?
Yes. Online PF withdrawal is available through the EPFO member portal if your UAN is activated and Aadhaar is linked and verified. Go to "Online Services" → "Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C & 10D)". You can submit: Form 19 (full PF settlement on retirement/resignation), Form 10C (EPS withdrawal/scheme certificate), Form 31 (partial withdrawal for specific purposes like medical, marriage, home loan). How to link Aadhaar to UAN?
