A modification does not change your FSSAI number, and since 1 April 2026 FSSAI licences and registrations carry perpetual validity — you keep them active by paying the annual fee and filing the annual Food Safety Compliance Report (FSCR). A major modification may reset scrutiny of the licence but does not issue a new number.
