What the circular says

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs introduced the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) by General Circular No. 01/2026 dated 24 February 2026, to give companies an opportunity to complete their pending statutory filings. The Scheme was initially operational up to 15 July 2026.

By General Circular No. 03/2026 dated 8 July 2026, the last date was extended to 31 August 2026. That circular gave the reason as capacity enhancement and restoration work at the data centre after a fire incident on 5 June 2026.

By General Circular No. 04/2026 dated 31 August 2026, in view of representations received from stakeholders, the validity was further extended up to 15 September 2026, with all other terms and conditions unchanged.

Where it stands

The date in the latest circular — 15 September 2026 — has passed. Companies that filed within the window should keep the filing acknowledgements on record. This story will be updated if the Ministry issues a further circular.
