What the circular says

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs notes that the due date for filing Form DPT-3 (Return of deposits) for the financial year 2025-26 is 30 June 2026. In view of the capacity enhancement and restoration activities at its data centre following a fire incident on 5 June 2026, it decided to allow companies to file Form DPT-3 for the financial year 2025-26 without paying additional fees up to 31 July 2026.

The circular is addressed to the DGCOA, all Registrars of Companies, all Regional Directors and all stakeholders, and was issued with the approval of the competent authority.

What it does not do

  • It does not change the due date in the rules; it relaxes only the additional fees for a filing made up to 31 July 2026.
  • It covers Form DPT-3 for the financial year 2025-26 only.
  • It says nothing about a DPT-3 filed after 31 July 2026 — normal additional fees apply to that.
