What SEBI has directed

By circular HO/38/24/(15)2026-MIRSD-PODMMC/I/22872/2026 dated 1 October 2026, the Securities and Exchange Board of India has introduced the display of investor-centric messages by stock brokers. SEBI describes this as part of Project Jagrook, its nationwide investor awareness initiative, and of the upcoming World Investor Week 2026, for the benefit, safety and education of investors.

All stock brokers are required to prominently display the “investor awareness message(s)” as shared by SEBI on their websites and trading apps, in the manner the circular prescribes.

The circular is in continuation of SEBI’s circular SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/73 dated 19 May 2023, which mandated all stock brokers to display ‘Risk disclosures’ (Annexure-I of that circular) to all their clients.
