The recognition

The Reserve Bank received an application from the Unified Fintech Forum (UFF) seeking recognition as a Self-Regulatory Organisation in the FinTech Sector (SRO-FT). After examining it against the requirements of the Framework, RBI has decided to accord recognition to UFF (CIN U91990KA2016NPL096977).

Background

RBI had recognised the FinTech Association for Consumer Empowerment (FACE) as the first SRO-FT by its press release dated 28 August 2024.

The press release is a short one; it does not set out any new obligation for fintech companies.
