TRQ applications: India–UK CETA last date extended to 9 August 2026 (Public Notice 26/2026-27); India–Oman CEPA window for FY 2026-27 was 4–19 August (Public Notice 24/2026-27)

Two DGFT public notices on Tariff Rate Quota. Public Notice 26/2026-27 extended the last date for online TRQ applications under the India–UK CETA for CY 2026 up to 9 August 2026. Public Notice 24/2026-27 invited TRQ applications under the India–Oman CEPA for FY 2026-27 from 4 to 19 August 2026 on 30 tariff lines, with product-specific documents for marble and PET flakes.

India–UK CETA: last date extended

By Public Notice No. 26/2026-27 dated 5 August 2026, the Director General of Foreign Trade extended the last date for submission of online applications for allocation of Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) under the India–United Kingdom Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) for calendar year 2026 up to 9 August 2026. The extension was given in view of representations received from trade and industry.

The notice is in continuation of Public Notice No. 19/2026-27 dated 9 July 2026 and Public Notice No. 22/2026-27 dated 20 July 2026. All other terms and conditions of those two notices remain unchanged. The notice does not list the products or quantities; those are in the earlier notices.

By Public Notice No. 24/2026-27 dated 3 August 2026, issued in continuation of Public Notice No. 20/2026-27 dated 13 July 2026, DGFT invited applications for TRQ allocation under the India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) for FY 2026-27, from 4 August 2026 up to 19 August 2026.

Where several codes are shown together, the Public Notice gives one quantity against the group. Imports of these items are permitted subject to the procedure in Annexure-VIII of Appendix 2A of the FTP, 2023.

Documents made mandatory for some products

  • Marble blocks (25151210): a valid Chartered Engineer certificate certifying the installed processing capacity, installation of machinery and the production undertaken during the preceding three financial years in respect of marble processing. A draft template is at Annexure-A; it asks for machine-wise date of installation, processing capacity in MT per annum, whether the machinery is working, and production for FY 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26.
  • Marble slabs (25151220, 68022110, 68022120, 68022190): a valid pre-purchase agreement with the supplier in Oman.
  • PET flakes (39076110, 39076190, 39076930): an NOC from MoEF&CC, in accordance with its O.M. No. 23/66/2019-HSMD dated 23 August 2022.

What importers should do

Both application windows stated in these notices have closed — 9 August 2026 for the UK CETA and 19 August 2026 for the Oman CEPA. Importers who applied for Oman TRQ on marble or PET flakes should check that the Chartered Engineer certificate, the pre-purchase agreement or the MoEF&CC NOC, as applicable, was part of the application, since the notice makes these mandatory for allocation.
